Privacy Policy

BeLA Med Spa (“BeLA,” “we,” “us”) is a medical spa in Encino, California. This policy covers belamedspa.com and the information you share with us by phone, email or in person when arranging a visit.

This website is informational. It does not currently offer online booking, online payments, user accounts or forms that send us your information. To book, buy a gift card or start a membership, you contact us directly or visit the studio. If we add online booking or payments in the future, we will update this policy before they go live.

Information you give us. When you call, email or visit, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, the services you are interested in and your appointment preferences.

Health information. If you become a client, we collect the medical history, consent forms, photographs and treatment records needed to evaluate and treat you safely. This information is collected in the studio, not through this website, and is protected as described under “Medical information” below.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and image delivery providers receive standard technical data when you load a page — such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested and the date and time of the request. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose problems.

Browser storage. The site saves one small setting in your browser's local storage so the welcome offer is shown only once. It does not identify you and is never sent to us. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics.

• To respond to your questions and schedule appointments.
• To provide, document and follow up on treatments.
• To manage gift cards, memberships and packages you purchase in the studio.
• To send appointment reminders and, if you ask us to, occasional updates about offers. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time.
• To operate and secure this website and comply with our legal obligations.

Medical information is kept confidential in accordance with the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act and, where it applies, HIPAA. You will receive our Notice of Privacy Practices at your first visit, which describes how medical information about you may be used and disclosed and how you can access it.

Email is not a secure channel. Please do not send detailed medical information by email — share it with us by phone or in person instead.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose personal information only:

• To service providers that help us operate — for example website hosting, email and scheduling tools — who may use it only to provide services to us.
• To your other healthcare providers when you authorize it or the law permits it.
• When required by law, court order or to protect the safety of our clients and staff.
• In connection with a sale or reorganization of the business, subject to this policy.

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and disclose it.
• Request a copy of that information.
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
• Ask us to delete your information, subject to exceptions such as medical-record retention laws.
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information. We do not sell or share it, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a valid opt-out.
• Not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.

Under California's “Shine the Light” law, you may also ask whether we have disclosed personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not.

To make a request, email or call us using the details below. We will need to verify your identity before acting on it, and we will respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Medical records are retained for the periods required by California law. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from anyone under 16.

Our site links to services we do not control, such as map providers. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
